Organizational Context

The company is working on an essential program to replace the ERP system with a new generation of agile IT systems and architecture, hosted on a low-code platform in the cloud, which shows the innovative direction of enterprise digitalization and enables the company as a leading position in the industry.
This new generation agile IT system is called ‘MyService', and needs to be implemented at more than 40+ Vopak factories worldwide over a  3- 5 years' time period. MyService is a comprehensive set of modules for agreement, pricing, orders, operations and invoicing, which are developed in-house (Led by Vopak own team) and implemented by a dedicated project team working with the cross-functional members in the action team.

The Rollout Consultant reports to a Division Change Manager and works closely with the Terminal Project Manager who is responsible for the system rollout at a specific site.

Purpose of the job

The Rollout Consultant is responsible for detailed set up (use of screens, documents, reports, inquiries, and business controls) with the proper analyze & specify business needs, to solve application related and/or integration related issues and to transfer knowledge to the local sites (Vopak factories in China & North Asia), to ensure the factories' team can operate with MyService properly after the system go-live.

Key Accountabilities

The Rollout Consultant is responsible for the following tasks:

Set up a prototype environment (also called ‘playground') , including initial testing,  co-write business scenarios (process step). This is done in close cooperation with the Key Users.

Building the Key User team: transfer different domain knowledge (agreement & order or operation and the database) to local Key Users by means of application training before and during the Site Acceptance Test (SAT).

Assist in Data preparation: prepare and supply standard formats to help the local factory team in preparing data to be uploaded in MyService system.

Assist in updating project documentation: such as business scenarios, but also procedures, draft a Go Live approach, including conversion tools and control reports. Conform to the best practice & fit-purpose strategy. Assist in setting up the production environment with local terminal data, including running control reports.

Support Key Users in their support role after Go Live.

Provide additional training to end users after Go Live if necessary (e.g. training on the job).

In case a change / enhancement of software is considered needed by the terminal, the Rollout Consultant will assist in drafting a request document.

In case tests result in issues, the Rollout Consultant will assist in correctly and completely logging the issue. Same practice for the period after testing up to and including the support stage.

Functional expertise  &  (Know How)

Academic or comparable education in the field of Information Technology or Business Management or a demonstrated background in Vopak's frontline execution jobs (Commercial, Customer Service, Operations).

Professional

Flexibility in performing tasks, adapting to changing circumstances and working in a dynamic environment

Independently working and deciding within limits as agreed upon

Able to handle stressful situations

Ability to adapt to different local situations around the world and different cultures

Knowledgeable of the tank storage terminal processes within the relevant domain.
